Programs Tailor Made For All Needs
No matter what age, whether you are a beginner, advanced or somewhere in
between; We have a customized program for you.
For those who are curious or are not sure they or their child will stick (pardon the pun) with it; we offer a no upfront investment plan and provide the sticks, drum pad, music stand and instruction book for a nominal rent-to-own fee. That way if you decide drumming is not for you, you haven’t invested in a lot of equipment.
Typically lessons are for 30 minutes once a week Monday thru Friday. You can come to my studio or I will come to your location. That’s right, I do make house calls. Lesson times are from 9:00 AM – 7:00 PM which is convenient for retired folks, homeschoolers or those who work odd shifts.
I also offer group lessons at a reduced rate if there are two or more people who want to learn. Advanced students may not want regular weekly lessons but may want special tutoring to learn a new skill. Tell me what you want to accomplish and I will help you get there.
I typically start a beginner on a practice pad, then move to a snare drum and finally to a drum set. Those with a basic drumming background can start with a drum set. I can teach you on an acoustic or an electronic set. I actually started on my mother’s Tupperware.
For those who are in or planning to join their school Symphony, Concert, Jazz or Marching Band; I teach any and all percussion instruments.
As for the drum set; here is a partial list of the various rhythms or styles that I can teach: Rock, Jazz, Blues, R&B, Country, Big Band, all the Latin Ballroom dance rhythms and all the current styles.
I also teach music theory, how to read and write drum music.

WARNING – A GOOD DRUMMER DOES NOT MEAN THEY ARE A GOOD TEACHER
I consider myself a good overall drummer/percussionist. I also consider myself a good teacher. I have had extensive teacher training and have taught on many occasions over the years.
