I had the good pleasure to work with Dave at my church in St. Augustine. Dave is very professional and a joy to work with. What always impressed me about Dave is his ability to go above and beyond. Dave would come to rehearsals knowing all his parts and also having great ideas and suggestions for other instruments and song arrangements. I would highly recommend Dave for performing and teaching percussion. Matt F
I was the leader of a band that lead the worship at our church of around 500 people here in Daytona Beach. Dave was our main drummer for around 5 years. Stylistically we played rock, some with jazz and Latin influences. Dave did an excellent job developing his own drum arrangements, which required a lot of creativity on his part, in working with these different musical styles. He was great to work with....talented, a lot of fun, very patient, focused, punctual. I think Dave would be an ace drum teacher.. he actually successfully taught a number of younger people while at our church, one of whom went on to play with a pretty well known local band here in town. David is a great friend and a great drummer. Years ago when our worship team was going through a "drummer transition" David came along at just the right time. Even though he wasn't totally familiar with our music, he was able to jump right in and fill the place of our former drummer. He played with us for 4 years and was always reliable and steady. As a worship leader, I've always felt the drummer is one of, if not the most important part of the band. Without that foundation, things can train wreck quite quickly. With David laying the foundation, we enjoyed many a train wreck free Sunday!
When my 8 year old son expressed an interest in learning the drums, David offered to teach him on Sundays right after church. My son would bring his drum pad, sticks and the book that David recommended and he would go through the book teaching him the beats, patterns and timing necessary for a good foundation. He would give my son some
pages to work on for the next lesson and help him with any questions and difficulties he had. My son is 16 now and still drumming. He plays for church, in his brother's band, and as a guest drummer when/wherever he gets a chance.
As a musician, classic rock fan, Rush fan and worship leader, I can testify with confidence that my son is doing great, he's an excellent drummer and only 16!
I want to give my whole-hearted recommendation to Dave as an excellent drum teacher, you will not be disappointed!

I have known Dave since 6th grade and we were in the band together through 12th grade. Because he took private drum lessons, he was better than his peers. In addition to the Concert Band, Dave was a Drum Major, played in a Rock band, the school Orchestra and the school Jazz band. For three summers during our college years, the two of us worked at a youth camp in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula and Dave was the first drummer to play with the camp choir. He taught drum lessons and played with some nationally known music performers that would provide music at the camp. During the school year he also played with the Dave, Bob, Mark trio that played at youth rallies and churches around the metropolitan Detroit area. He is a gifted, well rounded drummer and a good friend to this day. Tim B.
" We are a local bagpipe band and asked Dave to help our band's drummers. The results have been measurably outstanding. As a result of Dave's instruction and our drummers improvement, recruitment of new personnel jumped. We went from 5 drummers to over 12! All our drummers now have a formal understanding of basic drum music theory and it shows in their performance. We will definitely bring Dave back for the next group of students"
